1 Then the people5971 of the land776 took3947 Jehoahaz3059 the son1121 of Josiah,2977 and made him king4427 in his father's1 stead8478 in Jerusalem.3389

2 Jehoahaz3059 was twenty6242 and three7969 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 three7969 months2320 in Jerusalem.3389

3 And the king4428 of Egypt4714 put5493 him down5493 at Jerusalem,3389 and condemned6064 the land776 in an hundred3967 talents3603 of silver3701 and a talent3603 of gold.2091

4 And the king4428 of Egypt4714 made Eliakim471 his brother251 king4427 over5921 Judah3063 and Jerusalem,3389 and turned5437 his name8034 to Jehoiakim.3079 And Necho5224 took3947 Jehoahaz3059 his brother,251 and carried935 him to Egypt.4714

5 Jehoiakim3079 was twenty6242 and five2568 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 eleven259 6240 years8141 in Jerusalem:3389 and he did6213 that which was evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 his God.430

6 Against5921 him came5927 up Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon,894 and bound631 him in fetters,5178 to carry3212 him to Babylon.894

7 Nebuchadnezzar5019 also carried935 of the vessels3627 of the house1004 of the LORD3068 to Babylon,894 and put5414 them in his temple1964 at Babylon.894

8 Now the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Jehoiakim,3079 and his abominations8441 which834 he did,6213 and that which was found4672 in him, behold,2009 they are written3789 in the book5612 of the kings4428 of Israel3478 and Judah:3063 and Jehoiachin3078 his son1121 reigned4427 in his stead.8478

9 Jehoiachin3078 was eight8083 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 three7969 months2320 and ten6235 days3117 in Jerusalem:3389 and he did6213 that which was evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD.3068

10 And when the year8141 was expired,8666 king4428 Nebuchadnezzar5019 sent,7971 and brought935 him to Babylon,894 with the goodly2532 vessels3627 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and made Zedekiah6667 his brother251 king4427 over5921 Judah3063 and Jerusalem.3389

11 Zedekiah6667 was one259 and twenty6242 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and reigned4427 eleven259 6240 years8141 in Jerusalem.3389

12 And he did6213 that which was evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 his God,430 and humbled3665 not himself before6440 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 speaking from the mouth6310 of the LORD.3068

13 And he also1571 rebelled4775 against king4428 Nebuchadnezzar,5019 who834 had made him swear7650 by God:430 but he stiffened7185 his neck,6203 and hardened553 his heart3824 from turning7725 to the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478

14 Moreover1571 all3605 the chief8269 of the priests,3548 and the people,5971 transgressed4603 very much7227 after all3605 the abominations8441 of the heathen;1471 and polluted2930 the house1004 of the LORD3068 which834 he had hallowed6942 in Jerusalem.3389

15 And the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers1 sent7971 to them by his messengers,4397 rising7925 up betimes,7925 and sending;7971 because3588 he had compassion2550 on5921 his people,5971 and on5921 his dwelling4583 place:

16 But they mocked3931 the messengers4397 of God,430 and despised959 his words,1697 and misused8591 his prophets,5030 until5704 the wrath2534 of the LORD3068 arose5927 against his people,5971 till5704 there was no369 remedy.4832

17 Therefore he brought5927 on them the king4428 of the Chaldees,3778 who slew2026 their young970 men with the sword2719 in the house1004 of their sanctuary,4720 and had no3808 compassion2550 on young970 man or maiden,1330 old2205 man, or him that stooped3486 for age:3486 he gave5414 them all3605 into his hand.3027

18 And all3605 the vessels3627 of the house1004 of God,430 great1419 and small,6996 and the treasures214 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and the treasures214 of the king,4428 and of his princes;8269 all3605 these he brought935 to Babylon.894

19 And they burnt8313 the house1004 of God,430 and broke5422 down5422 the wall2346 of Jerusalem,3389 and burnt8313 all3605 the palaces759 thereof with fire,784 and destroyed7843 all3605 the goodly4261 vessels3627 thereof.

20 And them that had escaped7611 from the sword2719 carried1473 he away1540 to Babylon;894 where they were servants5650 to him and his sons1121 until5704 the reign4427 of the kingdom4438 of Persia:6539

21 To fulfill4390 the word1697 of the LORD3068 by the mouth6310 of Jeremiah,3414 until5704 the land776 had enjoyed7521 her sabbaths:7676 for as long3117 as she lay desolate8074 she kept7673 sabbath,7673 to fulfill4390 three score7657 and ten years.8141

22 Now in the first259 year8141 of Cyrus3566 king4428 of Persia,6539 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 spoken by the mouth6310 of Jeremiah3414 might be accomplished,3615 the LORD3068 stirred5782 up the spirit7307 of Cyrus3566 king4428 of Persia,6539 that he made a proclamation5674 6963 throughout all3605 his kingdom,4438 and put it also1571 in writing,4385 saying,559

23 Thus3541 said559 Cyrus3566 king4428 of Persia,6539 All3605 the kingdoms4467 of the earth776 has the LORD3068 God430 of heaven8064 given5414 me; and he has charged6485 me to build1129 him an house1004 in Jerusalem,3389 which834 is in Judah.3063 Who4310 is there among you of all3605 his people?5971 The LORD3068 his God430 be with him, and let him go5927 up.

1 А наро́д кра́ю взяв Йоаха́за, сина Йосії, і настанови́в його царем в Єрусалимі замість ба́тька його.

2 Йоаха́з був віку двадцяти й трьох літ, коли він зацарював, і царював в Єрусалимі три місяці.

3 I скинув його єгипетський цар в Єрусалимі, і наклав ка́ру на цей край, — сто талантів срібла та талант золота.

4 І єгипетський цар настанови́в царем над Юдеєю та Єрусалимом брата його Ел'якима, і змінив ім'я́ йому на Єгояким. А брата його Йоахаза узяв Нехо й відвів його до Єгипту.

5 Єгояки́м був віку двадцяти й п'яти літ, коли він зацарював, і одина́дцять років царював в Єрусалимі. І робив він зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого.

9 Єгояхі́н був віку восьми літ, коли він зацарював, і царював в Єрусалимі три місяці й десять день. І робив він лихе́ в Господніх оча́х.

10 А по році послав цар Навуходоно́сор, і привів його до Вавилону з дорогим по́судом Господнього дому, а царем над Юдеєю та Єрусалимом настановив брата його Седекі́ю.

11 Седекі́я був віку двадцяти й одно́го року, коли він зацарював, і він царював в Єрусалимі одина́дцять років.

12 І робив він зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого, — не впокори́вся перед пророком Єремією, що говорив із нака́зу Господнього.

13 І він також відкинувся від царя Навуходоно́сора, що був заприсягнув його Господом, — і вчинив твердо́ю свою шию, і став запе́клим, щоб не наверта́тися до Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

14 Також усі зве́рхники священиків та наро́ду ще більше грішили, шануючи гидо́ти поган, і вони занечи́стили Господній дім, якого Він освятив в Єрусалимі.

15 А Господь, Бог їхніх батьків, усе посилав до них через Своїх послів слова остороги, бо Він змилосе́рдився над народом Своїм та над осе́лею Своєю.

16 Та вони соро́мили Божих послів, і пого́рджували їхніми слова́ми, і насміха́лися з Його пророків, аж поки не піднісся гнів Господа на народ Його так, що не було вже ліку.

17 І Він навів на них халдейського царя, і той позабива́в мече́м їхніх ви́браних у домі їхньої святині, і не змилосе́рдився ані над юнако́м, ані над ді́вчиною, ані над стари́м, ані над старе́зним, — усе дав в його руку...

18 І всі речі Божого дому, вели́кі та малі́, і ска́рби дому Господнього та дому царя й його зверхників, — усе переніс до Вавилону.

19 І спали́ли вони Божий дім, і порозбива́ли мур Єрусалиму, і всі пала́ти його попали́ли огнем, а всі дорогі́ речі його пони́щили...

20 І пішло́ на вигна́ння до Вавилону позоста́ле від меча́, і стали йому та синам його за рабів аж до зацарювання перського царства,

21 щоб ви́повнилося Господнє слово, проре́чене Єреміїними устами, аж поки вподо́бає собі земля свої суботи, — по всі дні її спусто́шення святкува́ла вона суботи, щоб спо́внилися сімдеся́т літ.

22 А першого року Кіра, царя перського, коли спо́внилось слово Господнє, проре́чене устами Єреміїними, збудив Господь духа Кі́ра, царя перського, і він оголосив по всьому царству своє́му, а також на письмі, говорячи:

23 „Так говорить Кір, цар перський: Усі зе́мні царства дав мені Госпо́дь, Бог Небесний, і Він наклав на мене збудувати Йому храма в Єрусалимі, що в Юдеї. Хто між вами з усьо́го Його наро́ду, — нехай буде Госпо́дь, Бог його, з ним, і нехай він іде до Єрусалиму!“

5 Єгояки́м був віку двадцяти й п'яти літ, коли він зацарював, і одина́дцять років царював в Єрусалимі. І робив він зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого.

10 А по році послав цар Навуходоно́сор, і привів його до Вавилону з дорогим по́судом Господнього дому, а царем над Юдеєю та Єрусалимом настановив брата його Седекі́ю.

11 Седекі́я був віку двадцяти й одно́го року, коли він зацарював, і він царював в Єрусалимі одина́дцять років.

12 And he did6213 that which was evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 his God,430 and humbled3665 not himself before6440 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 speaking from the mouth6310 of the LORD.3068

12 І робив він зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого, — не впокори́вся перед пророком Єремією, що говорив із нака́зу Господнього.

13 І він також відкинувся від царя Навуходоно́сора, що був заприсягнув його Господом, — і вчинив твердо́ю свою шию, і став запе́клим, щоб не наверта́тися до Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

14 Також усі зве́рхники священиків та наро́ду ще більше грішили, шануючи гидо́ти поган, і вони занечи́стили Господній дім, якого Він освятив в Єрусалимі.

15 And the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers1 sent7971 to them by his messengers,4397 rising7925 up betimes,7925 and sending;7971 because3588 he had compassion2550 on5921 his people,5971 and on5921 his dwelling4583 place:

15 А Господь, Бог їхніх батьків, усе посилав до них через Своїх послів слова остороги, бо Він змилосе́рдився над народом Своїм та над осе́лею Своєю.

16 Та вони соро́мили Божих послів, і пого́рджували їхніми слова́ми, і насміха́лися з Його пророків, аж поки не піднісся гнів Господа на народ Його так, що не було вже ліку.

17 Therefore he brought5927 on them the king4428 of the Chaldees,3778 who slew2026 their young970 men with the sword2719 in the house1004 of their sanctuary,4720 and had no3808 compassion2550 on young970 man or maiden,1330 old2205 man, or him that stooped3486 for age:3486 he gave5414 them all3605 into his hand.3027

17 І Він навів на них халдейського царя, і той позабива́в мече́м їхніх ви́браних у домі їхньої святині, і не змилосе́рдився ані над юнако́м, ані над ді́вчиною, ані над стари́м, ані над старе́зним, — усе дав в його руку...

18 And all3605 the vessels3627 of the house1004 of God,430 great1419 and small,6996 and the treasures214 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and the treasures214 of the king,4428 and of his princes;8269 all3605 these he brought935 to Babylon.894

18 І всі речі Божого дому, вели́кі та малі́, і ска́рби дому Господнього та дому царя й його зверхників, — усе переніс до Вавилону.

19 And they burnt8313 the house1004 of God,430 and broke5422 down5422 the wall2346 of Jerusalem,3389 and burnt8313 all3605 the palaces759 thereof with fire,784 and destroyed7843 all3605 the goodly4261 vessels3627 thereof.

19 І спали́ли вони Божий дім, і порозбива́ли мур Єрусалиму, і всі пала́ти його попали́ли огнем, а всі дорогі́ речі його пони́щили...

20 And them that had escaped7611 from the sword2719 carried1473 he away1540 to Babylon;894 where they were servants5650 to him and his sons1121 until5704 the reign4427 of the kingdom4438 of Persia:6539

20 І пішло́ на вигна́ння до Вавилону позоста́ле від меча́, і стали йому та синам його за рабів аж до зацарювання перського царства,

21 To fulfill4390 the word1697 of the LORD3068 by the mouth6310 of Jeremiah,3414 until5704 the land776 had enjoyed7521 her sabbaths:7676 for as long3117 as she lay desolate8074 she kept7673 sabbath,7673 to fulfill4390 three score7657 and ten years.8141

21 щоб ви́повнилося Господнє слово, проре́чене Єреміїними устами, аж поки вподо́бає собі земля свої суботи, — по всі дні її спусто́шення святкува́ла вона суботи, щоб спо́внилися сімдеся́т літ.

22 Now in the first259 year8141 of Cyrus3566 king4428 of Persia,6539 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 spoken by the mouth6310 of Jeremiah3414 might be accomplished,3615 the LORD3068 stirred5782 up the spirit7307 of Cyrus3566 king4428 of Persia,6539 that he made a proclamation5674 6963 throughout all3605 his kingdom,4438 and put it also1571 in writing,4385 saying,559

23 „Так говорить Кір, цар перський: Усі зе́мні царства дав мені Госпо́дь, Бог Небесний, і Він наклав на мене збудувати Йому храма в Єрусалимі, що в Юдеї. Хто між вами з усьо́го Його наро́ду, — нехай буде Госпо́дь, Бог його, з ним, і нехай він іде до Єрусалиму!“
